Red, Yellow, Green: Understanding Fire Inspection Tags in Louisiana

Louisiana contractors use a color-coded tag system to show the condition of fire protection equipment. Green means the system is in service and compliant. Yellow flags non-critical deficiencies. Red means the system is impaired.

A yellow or red tag starts the clock on corrective action. Your building can fail a fire marshal inspection over a tag that has been ignored.

The easiest way to stay green is a single contract that schedules every inspection and repair automatically.
